The problem faced in doing the Digital Systems practicum is that the available Practicum Guides are not in accordance with the Semester Learning Plan (RPS). In addition, other problems in the form of structure, arrangement, and contents of practicum guides are difficult for students to understand. Solutions that can be offered to this problem include developing a Digital System Practicum Guide. The main purpose of this development is to improve the quality of practicum learning and help students develop practical skills in designing, building, and analyzing digital circuits in the Control and Computer Systems Laboratory, Electrical Engineering Study Program, Faculty of Engineering, University of North Sumatra. The practicum guide was developed taking into account the needs of students, suggestions from expert lecturers, and adjusting the learning topics for digital systems courses. The research model used is the ADDIE type which consists of Analysis, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate. The steps for developing practicum guides include needs analysis, data collection, guide design, validation by lecturers, revisions, trials, and evaluations. The results of the evaluation show that the developed digital system practicum guide meets the criteria of validity and feasibility. The validator lecturer gave a positive assessment of content, structure, and usage with a validation percentage value of 95%. The Laboratory Assistant also plays a role in assessing practicum guidelines with a percentage of 92.75%. The limited trial of the practicum guide shows that students are able to understand the practicum material well and the practicum steps are easy to understand. From the results of a limited trial of 18 students as digital system practitioners in 2023 using a questionnaire, a precision level of 78.45% was obtained and the overall percentage value was 91.4% so that it was categorized as suitable for use as a Digital Systems Practicum Guide.
