Electromagnetic interference resulting from electromagnetic radiation can lead to a decrease in performance and disruptions in the functioning of electrical equipment. This occurs because the interference induces unwanted currents and voltages within the equipment's circuitry, thereby disturbing its normal operation. One example of equipment vulnerable to electromagnetic interference is the kWh meter. In this thesis, the author conducted a research study on the impact of electromagnetic interference on kWh meters through conduction and radiation emission tests. The aim of these tests was to comprehend how equipment can generate Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) that can affect other devices, the influence of EMI on kWh meters, the design of magnetic field probes, and also EMI testing on kWh meters. In the radiation emission testing, a magnetic field probe was employed due to its high sensitivity to electromagnetic radiation, enabling more accurate measurements across a wide frequency range. Furthermore, the magnetic field probe can transmit signals to track sources of electromagnetic radiation and mitigate the electromagnetic interference's impact from external sources. In the conduction emission EMI testing, the most significant change occurred at the 240th second, with an approximately 1.2% increase in pulse width and a change of around 465.54% in rise time. Meanwhile, in the Radiation Emission EMI testing, the highest changes were observed at the 300th second, where the frequency change was approximately 4602.78%, the period change was 97.87%, the pulse width change was 3600%, and the rise time change was 95.29%.en_US
