| dc.description.abstract | The high number of residents in the city of Medan makes this city one of the most populous cities as well as a metropolitan city and the 3rd largest in Indonesia. Within a city, of course, there are different problems that can lead to a decrease in the quality of the city itself. One of the problems that often occurs in the city, as there are still many uninhabitable houses that are far from the standard of housing eligibility and crime, which can affect the comfort of users or the community and the image of the city. Existing problems need to be considered and responded to with existing solutions. So the purpose of this paper is to elaborate a space or container design that can provide solutions in responding to problems in cities, especially Medan City. This study/research was conducted using a qualitative descriptive research method through field observations and literature studies. Through shelter design with a Green Architecture approach, it is felt and is expected to be a solution in improving the quality of the city of Medan. Green Architectureprinciple Respect for Use, which emphasizes observing the conditions of building users. So this design can provide a forum for people who need both physical and psychological needs and are expected to be able to respond to city problems. | en_US |
