Re-Desain Kompleks Gereja HKBP Seksama dengan Pendekatan Arsitektur Fungsional

Abstract

The need for space for worship is very necessary, so that worship is more comfortable and focused on the Almighty. HKBP Betul Church is one of the churches in Medan City. The number of heads of families reaches 597 households, a large enough space is needed, so that the congregation of HKBP Betul Church can worship comfortably. HKBP Betul Church is already planning a land expansion. This is necessary considering the growing number of church congregations, parking arrangements on narrow land, and the number of church ministers is lacking. Seeing this condition needs to be redesigned by widening the church, expanding the parking lot, adding an official house for church ministers, and expanding the Sunday school building, as well as completing facilities such as multipurpose buildings and small offices for organizations within the HKBP Betul church. The theme approach to the re-design of HKBP Betul Church is Functional Architecture where the shape of the building is in accordance with the function of the building.
