Abstract

Margarine is a water-in-oil type emulsion, which is the water-in-oil or fat phase with a fat content of 80% and the rest are other ingredients such as water, salt, lecithin, emulsifiers, flavorings, dyes, and vitamin A. Margarine is characterized by its dense and plastic texture at room temperature, bright yellow, easy to apply, melts immediately in the mouth, and does not melt easily compared to butter. Pre-Design This Margarine Making Plant is designed with a production capacity of 8,400 tons / year using CPO raw materials and coconut oil. In the pre-design of this plant using the process of enzymatic interesterification reactions. The company in the pre-design of this factory is planned to be in the form of a Limited Liability Company (PT) using the organizational structure of lines and staff. The total workforce in this factory is 105 people. The factory location is planned to be in Rimba Melintang District, Rokan Hilir Regency, Riau. with a total land area of 11,086,262 m2. Water needs at this plant are planned to be obtained from the Rokan River with a total water requirement of 23,675,977 kg / hour. The results of the economic analysis of this thesis are as follows: • Capital Investment = Rp. 344,001,950,831.54 • Total cost = Rp. 218.619.066.265.06 • Result sales = Rp. 412.126.793.267,32 • Profit Net = Rp. 125.457.122.438,72 • Profit margin (PM) = 30.44% • Break even point (BEP) = 19.23% • Return on investment (ROI) = 36.47% • Pay out time (POT) = 2.74 years • Return on network (RON) = 60.78% • Internal rate of return (IRR) = 45.56% Based on the results of the analysis of economic aspects, it can be concluded that this "Margarine Making Plant from CPO" is feasible to be established.
