Analisis Kinerja Keandalan Shuffle Exchange Network Paralel Menggunakan Metode Blok Diagram
Abstract
This research discusses the reliability and performance analysis of a parallel Shuffle Exchange Network (SEN) using the block diagram method. One of the problems in the telecommunications system is network reliability. One of the most widely used networks in the telecommunications system is the Shuffle Exchange Network (SEN). This network has fairly high reliability, so it is widely used in several applications.
This research aims to analyze the reliability performance of parallel SEN using the block diagram method. The block diagram method can be used to describe the system by using blocks that represent system components and the relationships between these blocks so that an equation can be derived to calculate the terminal reliability parameters. From the test results, it is found that parallel SEN has fairly high reliability. In a parallel SEN with a size of 32 x 32, if the switching reliability is 0.99, the terminal reliability is 0.999. Whereas in SEN with a size of 16 x 16, if the switching reliability is 0.99, the terminal reliability is only 0.979. It can be seen that the significant increase in terminal reliability from the SEN network to the parallel SEN network.
This research is expected to contribute to the development of a more reliable and effective telecommunications network. In addition, the block diagram method used in this study can be adopted as a method of analyzing reliability performance on other network systems.
