dc.description.abstractThe pre-designed factory for making biochar using a slow pyrolysis process from corn cobs is planned to operate 24 hours a day and 330 days a year with a biochar production capacity of up to 60,000 tons/year. The process used is slow pyrolysis with an Auger Pyrolyzer reactor type with operating conditions at pressure 1 atm and temperature 400 oC The factory location is planned to be established in Ketosari village in Licin District, Banyuwangi Regency, East Java Province. factory area of 19,728 m2. The number of workers required is 212 people and the planned business entity will be a Limited Liability Company (PT), and the organizational form will be a line organization led by the President Director. The results of the economic evaluation of the pre-designed plant for making biochar from corn cobs are as follows: a. Total investment capital : Rp.973,629,578,632.28 b. Production costs : Rp. 1,029,231,213,350 c. Sales proceeds : Rp. 1,367,192,876,108.84 d. Net profit : Rp. 231,714,200,652.43 e. Profit margin : 24% f. Break even point : 45.75 % g. Return on investment : 37.27% h. Pay out time : 2.68 years i. Return on network : 44.47% j. Internal rate of return : 45.77% Based on the results of the analysis in the economic aspect above, it can be concluded that the pre-designed factory for making biochar from corn cobs is feasible to build.en_US
