dc.description.abstract | The Covid-19 pandemic has affected every aspect of life and changed people's
lifestyle. Electrical energy is a very important need to support daily life, especially during
a pandemic like today, people are more often at home since the implementation of PSBB,
schools are carried out online or online (in the network) and work is done from home (Work
From Home) which certainly requires electrical energy. With the increase in the amount of
electricity use in the residence area, the provider must also increase the amount of
electricity supply and maintain the reliability of the electrical energy supplied. An electric
power distribution system is said to be reliable if the disturbances and outages that occur
within a certain period of time are below the specified reliability index numbers, namely
SAIFI (System Average Interruption Frequency Index) and SAIDI (System Average
Interruption Duration Index). During the Covid-19 pandemic, namely 2020 - 2022, the
cumulative value of the SAIDI reliability index is 8.127, SAIFI is 8.254, and CAIDI is
1.177. For the SAIDI reliability index value above the SPLN 68-2: 1986 and IEEE std
1366-2003 standard values. The SAIFI reliability index value is below the SPLN 68-2:
1986 standard value and above the IEEE std 1366-2003 standard value, while the CAIDI
reliability index value is below the SPLN 68-2: 1986 and IEEE std 1366-2003 standard
values. Therefore, the reliability of the distribution system of PT PLN (Persero) UP3
Medan can be categorized as not reliable. For the cumulative economic value in the form
of losses due to blackouts during the Covid-19 pandemic period, namely 2020 - 2022, it
amounted to Rp. 3,199,655,454.63. | en_US |
