dc.description.abstract | In the development in the industrial world today, manufacturing companies are increasingly competitive in maintaining the consistency of the production process. Inefficient and effective factors in a production process are things that need to be anticipated so that the company does not require a lot of costs in the process of making a product. In order to create the quality of the production process to comply with the standards that have been set is to implement a good quality control system. Therefore, it is important for a company to maintain production consistency, which is done by continuous improvement of the production process and implementing a quality control system so that it can produce products with maximum quality . In carrying out its operational activities, PT. Asia Sakti Wahid Foods has not been able to run efficiently because there is waste that occurs in the production process, such as the emergence of defective products. The defect rate fluctuated with the smallest figure being 20.27% and the largest being 34.78% for biscuit products. The company's desired target is at a figure below 10%. Researchers then make improvements using Lean Six Sigma with the PDCA method to improve the quality of the production process. The number of activities in the biscuit production process is proposed to be 21 activities. Total production time was reduced by 44 minutes. The sigma value achieved by the company became 3.67. Based on estimates from the proposed improvements, manufacturing lead time results were obtained of 304.3 minutes, process cycle efficiency of 87.36% and process velocity of 0.0028 processes / hour. The increase in process cycle efficiency of 6.63% shows that the biscuit production process is better than before. | en_US |
