Bio-char is a solid product of biomass pyrolysis, which is one of the
available technologies for bioenergy production. Bio-char can be used as fuel in
the form of briquettes and alternatively as activated carbon and as a substitute for
coal. One example of biomass that can be used as bio-char is durian peel, because
it has high calorie energy, namely 6,274.9 cal/gr and adequate raw materials. It is
hoped that the establishment of this bio-char factory will be able to meet bioenergy
needs in Indonesia.
Pre-Design Bio-char Factory from durian peel is planned to operate with
a production capacity of 27,800 tons/year with 330 working days a year. The
planned form of business entity is a Limited Liability Company (PT) with a
workforce of 204 people.
The results of the economic aspect analysis obtained are as follows:
Total Investment Capital = Rp. 410.055.575.021,07
Total Fixed Costs = Rp. 91.196.760.299,85
Total Sales Results = Rp. 398.661.486.135,56
Gross Profit = Rp 115.481.946.300,77
Net Profit = Rp.80.892.362.410,54
Profit Margin = 28,97%
Break Even Point = 42,86%
Return on Investment = 19,73%
Pay Out Time = 5 Year
Return on Network = 32,88%
Internal Rate of Return = 49,67%
Based on the results of the analysis of economic aspects, it can be
concluded that "The Pre-Design Factory for Making Bio-Char with Durian Peel
Raw Materials Using a Slow Pyrolysis Process with a Production Capacity of
27,800 Tons/Year is feasible to be established.
