dc.description.abstract | This biochar production plant from coconut shell with slow pyrolysis process hasa
capacity of 54,000 tonnes/year and operates for 330 days a year. The amount of coconut
shell required to achieve the annual production capacity is 169,021 tonnes/year.
The specific task completed was the optimisation of energy utilisation from the heat exchanger to the rotary dryer. With the target of process integration, providing maximum feasible heat recovery. Fuel savings from optimising energy utilisation is 99.764%. By reducing the use of fuel by 99.972% through optimisation of heat utilisation from the heat exchanger (E-201) to the rotary dryer (DE-101) provides savings on operational costs for the drying process of coconut shell raw materials of Rp.378,860,000 to dry coconut shell raw materials of 21,597.228 kg / hour.
The biochar manufacturing plant is planned to be located in Indragiri Hilir Regency, Riau. The land area required is 10,045.2 m2. With the planned form of business entity is a Limited Liability Company (PT). The planned form of organisation is a line
organisation form with the number of workers required as many as 121 people.
The results of the economic aspect analysis obtained are as follows:
Capital Investment (CI) = Rp. 566,599,279,669
Total Cost (TC) = Rp. 881,389,117,535
Profit Margin (PM) = 15.862%
Break Even Point (BEP) = 30.042%
Return On Investment (ROI) = 21.333%
Pay Out Time (POT) = 5.179 years
Internal Rate of Return (IRR) = 19.380%
Based on the results of the economic analysis, it can be concluded that the biochar manufacturing plant from coconut shell with slow pyrolysis process is feasible to be established. | en_US |
