Pra Rancangan Pabrik Pembuatan Sirup Glukosa dari Biji Durian Menggunakan Proses Hidrolisis Asam dengan Kapasitas 5.000 Ton/Tahun dan Tugas Khusus Rancangan Keteknikan Detail Tangki Decolorizing
Abstract
Durian seeds are waste that has not been utilized optimally. Durian seeds
themselves contain starch, crude fiber, water, ash and crude protein. With a high
content of starch compounds, durian seeds can be used as raw material for making
glucose syrup. The need for glucose syrup in Indonesia continues to increase every
year, in fact the fulfillment of glucose syrup consumption in Indonesia is carried
out by imports from various countries in the world in very large quantities. The
acid hydrolysis method was chosen as a method in the production process for
making glucose syrup.
The pre-designed factory for making glucose syrup from durian seed as raw
material is planned to have a production capacity of 5.000 tons/year and operate
for 330 days a year. The pre-design of this factory is planned to be established in
Bahorok, Langkat Regency, North Sumatra with an area of 9,144 m2, the workforce
required is 145 people. The planned form of business entity is a Limited Liability
Company (PT) with a line and staff organizational structure.
The results of the pre-design economic analysis of the factory for making
glucose syrup from durian seed raw materials are:
• Capital Investment = Rp 80,995,547,986
• Profit Margin (PM) = 29,25 %
• Break Even Point (BEP) = 37,8 %
• Return On Investment (ROI) = 25,5 %
• Pay Out Time (POT) = 3,93 years
• Return On Network (RON) = 42,47 %
• Internal Rate of Return (IRR) = 25,6 %
From the results of the economic analysis, it can be concluded that the predesigned
factory for making glucose syrup from durian seed raw materials using
the acid hydrolysis method is feasible to be established.
