    Pemanfaatan Berbagai Variasi Kotoran Hewan Ternak sebagai Media Pertumbuhan Larva Black Soldier Fly (Hermetia illucens )

    Abstract
    One of the solution to process organic waste is to use the Black Soldier Fly larvae. Waste processing technology using the Black Soldier Fly (BSF) is a waste reduction technology by the larvae of the species Hermetia illucens. Many countries have implemented this technology as an alternative to waste reduction in their countries, one of which is in Indonesia. One type of organic waste is animal waste, and the use of Black Soldier Fly fly larvae as an agent for decomposing animal manure is a way of managing animal waste that doesn't cost more. The research was conducted to obtain a mixture of compositions that produced the greatest reduction and growth rate of larvae, so that a suitable composition was obtained for processing animal manure by Black Soldier Fly larvae. Types of manure medium used to this research: (i) chicken manure (ii) fermented chicken manure, (iii) cow manure, (iv) fermented cow manure. The variation in the feeding rate treatment given to each medium was 40 and 80 mg. From the results of the research that has been done, it was found that the highest waste reduction index (WRI) value occurred in treatment 4 (on non fermented chicken manure medium, with a feeding rate of 80 mg/larvae/day) that is equal to 1,52 %. For the largest weight gain of BSF larvae occurred in treatment 4 (on non fermented chicken manure medium, with a feeding rate of 80 mg/larvae/day), by 0,205 gram in weight. From the proximate test results of BSF larvae, the highest percentage of water, protein and fat content was 8.19% for BSF larvae from fermented cow manure, 8.57% for BSF larvae from non-fermented chicken manure, and 5.90% for larvae BSF from fermented cow manure.
