Analisis Simulasi Penggunaan Filter Pasif Single Tuned dalam Mereduksi Kandungan Harmonisa pada Jaringan Distribusi 20 kV (Studi Kasus: PT. PLN (PERSERO) ULP Belawan)
Abstract
With the increasing demand for electrical energy, maintaining the quality of electrical power is essential. The use of non-linear loads such as Adjustable Speed Drivers (ASD) and others can cause harmonic distortion, which is one of the issues affecting power quality. Harmonic distortion cannot be completely eliminated but can be reduced within the tolerance limits defined in IEEE 519-2014. This study aims to analyze and mitigate the harmonic current content (THDi) occurring in the 20 kV distribution network of PLN ULP Belawan. The research is conducted through simulations using ETAP 19.0.1 software with the modeling of ASD 6-pulse loads. Reduction is achieved using a single-tuned passive filter with a 5th order as the tuning order. After conducting the study, the author obtained results showing a reduction of individual harmonic currents (IHDi) of the 5th order by 14.30% in the PT. Canang Indah feeder, 13.87% in the PT. KDM feeder, and 3.082% in the Perikanan Gabion feeder. The reduction of individual harmonic currents at the 5th order also led to a respective total harmonic current (THDi) reduction of 11.81%, 11.16%, and 1.82% in each feeder.
