dc.description.abstract | The smart electric wheelchair is one of the innovations created to assist the mobility of people with disabilities, especially blind people. The creation of the wheelchair is due to the Covid-19 pandemic which is increasingly spreading and threatening human lives so that blind people cannot be assisted in moving optimally due to one of the physical distancing policies. This smart electric wheelchair uses a lithium-ion battery as the main source of electricity.
The battery used must match the specifications of the motor and several sensors used such as the appropriate input voltage and current. Since this wheelchair was created to be used outdoors, the ability of the battery in the wheelchair to move the wheelchair will be investigated by providing load parameters and different types of track surfaces calculated based on the distance traveled by the wheelchair. The results of this study obtained the effect of the load on the decrease in power seen from the decrease in distance every load is increased by 10 kg, the average value of the power decrease is ±7.03% and the addition of an average travel time of ±7.11, then on the effect of the track surface on the decrease in power and travel time it is found that the track that has the least power decrease and travel time is the plaster floor track and the track that gets the most power decrease and travel time is the grassy soil track. | en_US |
