Rancang Bangun Sistem Penerima Paket Menggunakan Barcode Scanner Berbasis IoT

Abstract

Online shopping is one application of the use of technology that facilitates the buying and selling process. One of the drawbacks of the online shopping system is when the recipient of the goods is not at home when the goods ordered are delivered by the courier. In order to simplify and speed up the process of receiving goods between the courier and the recipient, a tool is needed that can read packages or incoming goods. Barcode scanners are needed so that the reading of the identity of the goods is the same as what has been ordered so that they are not confused with other goods. In this research, an automatic control system is designed that can read packages or goods ordered, receive, and notify the owner of the goods that the goods ordered have arrived. This system utilizes an application-based GM66 barcode scanner and raspberry pi so that the condition of goods or packages can be monitored remotely via an Android smartphone. Based on the tests carried out, this control system is able to respond well to the barcode on the package and send data from the raspberry pi to the user in a short time.
