Pra Rancangan Pabrik Pembuatan Soap Noodle dari Palm Stearin Fatty Acid melalui Proses Netralisasi Asam Lemak dengan Kapasitas 44.000 Ton/Tahun (Tugas Khusus: Rancangan Keteknikan Detail Reaktor Netralisasi)
Abstract
Preliminary plant design of soap noodle from palm stearin fatty acid through fatty acid neutralization process has a production capacity of 44,000 tons/year and operates for 330 days/year. The main process in the pre-design of this plant consists of four stages, namely the raw material preparation stage, fatty acid neutralization reaction stage, additive addition stage, and drying stage. In the fatty acid neutralization reaction stage, the reactor operates at a temperature of 110°C for 0.5 hours. The ammount of palm stearin fatty acid required to achieve annual production capacity is 3,498.7002 kg/hour.
The specific task completed was the detailed engineering design of a neutralization reactor. The type of reactor used is Continuous Stirred Tank Reactor (CSTR) with the following design specifications:

The soap noodle manufacturing plant from palm stearin fatty acid through fatty acid neutralization process is planned to be established in Kawasan Industri Medan II, North Sumatra, with a total plant area of 17,244 m2. The water requirement of this plant is supplied from Deli River as much as 3,640.7050 kg/hour. The planned form of company organizational is a Limited Liability Company with a line and staff organizational structure, and a total of 168 employees.
The results of the economic analysis in the preliminary plant are as follows:
