    Abstract
PT. Perkebunan Nusantara II or commonly known as PTPN II is a company that processes palm oil fresh fruit bunches (FFB) into crude oil with the product type Crude Palm Oil (CPO) and palm kernel which is commonly referred to as kernel. The company's production capacity is large every year because it produces 30 tons of FFB/hour, so the company needs machines and equipment that are in the best conditions. Pagar Merbau has several machines in its production process and one of the most frequently damaged is the screw press machine. The screw press machine is a machine that is used to squeeze loose looseness that has been chopped on the previous machine to produce crude oil. This study aims to calculate the effectiveness value of the screw press machine using the Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) method and then carry out an analysis to identify the losses arising from the low OEE value in the company. The OEE value of the PKS - Pagar Merbau was 85,56% causing the factory to experience losses in the form of reduced speed losses of 7,20% breakdown losses of 4.43 %, and setup and adjustment losses 2,79%. Of the 3 most dominant types of losses, it was obtained from the Risk Priority Number (RPN) calculation analysis that the causes of high losses on screw press machines were due to damage to the machine which was not immediately repaired, 336, operators not maintaining the machine 294, rarely checking machine components 288, lack of supervision of operators amounted to 224, and inappropriate work methods amounted to 192. The proposed improvement that can be given to this palm oil mill is to implement the 8 pillars of Total Productive Maintenance.
