BPDAS Mahakam Berau is one of the Execution Units under the Ministry of Environment and Forestry. In order to carry out all duties and functions as the Execution Unit, BPDAS have government employees who have responsibilities in accordance with their main tasks and functions. However, based on the results of observations, interviews and pre-study surveys, it is found that the performance of government employees in BPDAS Mehakam Berau showed a downward trend. This is a result of their dissatisfaction at work caused by weak inherent oversight and compensation system that has not been optimal. This study is aimed to see the role of Job Satisfaction in mediating the effect of Inherent Supervision and Compensation on Employee Performance. It is quantitative research and used SEM-PLS us the data analysis method to answer the research hypothesis. All employee in BPDAS Mahakam Berau took part as research respondents. The results show that only the Inherent Supervision variable is unable to influence Employee Performance, while other results show that hosh direct and initirect effects from hypothesis are accepted.
