dc.description.abstractThis research aims to analyze the development of a tourist village, the development of local community tourism villages, and formulate a model for utilizing Information and Communication Technology (ICT) for a tourist village on Sibandang Island in the Toba Caldera Geopark Area, North Tapanuli Regency. This research method uses a qualitative form with an interactive model approach. Data analysis in this study uses Nvivo Software. The results of the study found: first, the development of a tourist village on Sibandang Island has developing prospects for a potential tourism village with agro-tourism percentage coverage of 20.18%, Toba Caldera Geopark 14.75%, Muara-Sibandang Geosite 14.75%, nature tourism 17.64%, tourism culture by 13.50%, and historical tourism by 12.71% which can be done through the aspects of attractions, accessibility aspects, amenities aspects, human resources aspects, community aspects, industrial aspects, safety aspects and comfort aspects. Based on the analysis of the tourism area cycle of evolution, it can be formulated that tourism villages on Sibandang Island are Sibandang village in the cycle of engagement stages, while Papande and Sampuran villages are in the cycle of exploration stages with spatial movement patterns of tourists on Sibandang Island which can be carried out and categorized into in a chaining loop pattern, which is in the form of a circle without any repetition of tourist destination routes. Second, the development of local community tourism villages on Sibandang Island can be carried out through aspects of togetherness, aspects of social networks, aspects of community capacity, and aspects of social cohesion in the activities of local community participation in the development of tourist villages on Sibandang Island which are considered to be very low. Third, the model for utilizing Information and Communication Technology (ICT) for tourist villages on Sibandang Island can be carried out through aspects of technological literacy, aspects of internet literacy, and aspects of information literacy by the local community of tourist villages on Sibandang Island which are still considered very low, while the forms of ICT for tourist villages in Sibandang Island can be done based on the relationship that exists between tourism village managers and tourists, internal tourism village managers, and between tourism village managers and stakeholders with the forms of ICT used, namely websites, social media, applications, online travel agents, virtual tours and visit management systems . The researcher suggests that the local and central government, especially the North Tapanuli Regency Tourism Office, can apply this study in planning and implementing the development of a local community-based tourist village on Sibandang Island through the use of ICT in increasing tourist visits and the welfare of local communities.en_US
