    Abstract
Background: Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is a serious health condition and can cause various complications, including bone health problems. Decreased bone mineral density (BMD) is a major problem that occurs in hemodialysis patients and can cause an increased risk of bone fractures, poor quality of life, and higher mortality. The hemodialysis process can cause mineral imbalances and disruption of the calcium-phosphorus balance in the body, which ultimately has an impact on bone quality. One method commonly used to assess BMD is bone densitometry using the radiofrequency echographic multi-spectrometry (REMS) technique. Method: This type of research is descriptive analysis in the form of narrative proportion tables with a cohort retrospective design where data is taken from medical records to assess radiofrequency echographic multi-spectrometry (REMS) spinal densitometry and femur volume in patients who have undergone hemodialysis under the age of 40 years. Results: The total samples obtained in this study were 18 samples. Clinical characteristics of REMS show BMD values with a mean of 821.5+335.003 and a range of 98-1116. The T-score showed a mean of -8.5556+4.21792 with a range of -17 to 3. Normal diagnosis was found in 9 samples (50%) and osteopenia was found in 9 samples (50%). The difference between the duration of hemodialysis and the BMD value in the research sample was found to be an r value of 0.460 and a p value of 0.055 (p>0.05) and the difference between the duration of hemodialysis and the T-score value in the research sample was found to be an r value of 0.186 and a p value of 0.461 (p>0.05). In this study can be interpreted that there is no significant correlation between the duration of hemodialysis and the BMD value and T-score Conclusion: There is no correlation between BMD values and duration of hemodialysis (p>0.05).
