Analisis Dampak Banjir Rob dengan Menggunakan Teknologi Unmanned Aerial Vehicle di Desa Tanjung Rejo Kecamatan Percut Sei Tuan Kabupaten Deli Serdang
Abstract
Tanjung Rejo Village is a coastal region frequently affected by tidal floods, locally known as "banjir rob." Tidal floods occur in the coastal area when the sea water level rises, inundating the land and causing damage to the village's terrain. An analysis of the impacts of tidal floods is essential for sustainable disaster mitigation. The application of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) holds the potential to accurately and efficiently assess the effects of tidal floods on settlement infrastructure and monitor the condition of the mangrove ecosystem. The objective of this study is to identify the flood-affected areas and assess the damage caused by tidal floods to land use in Tanjung Rejo Village. Land use classification is performed using the Object-based Image Analysis (OBIA) method. The determination of flooded areas is achieved through observation, visual interpretation, and on-screen digitization. The land use classification yields seven classes: buildings, roads, open land, mangroves, oil palm plantations, ponds, and water bodies. The research results in a flood inundation map covering an area of 47.23 hectares, wherein buildings, oil palm plantations, and ponds are the flood-affected land uses. The damaged land uses in the study area comprise 19.79 hectares of oil palm plantations, 29.52 hectares of ponds, and 27 buildings that range from slight to severe damage. Moreover, the mangrove forest in Tanjung Rejo Village has suffered degradation due to pollution and insufficient consideration of environmental factors in mangrove ecosystem conversion. Mangrove ecosystem restoration emerges as a pivotal strategy for tidal flood prevention.
