Abstract
Medicinal plants have many benefits, including for the purposes of curing a disease, the traditional medicine industry (herbal medicine) and the non-herbal medicine industry. One example of a traditional plant is the sembung rambat plant (M. micrantha). The sembung rambat plant (M. micrantha) is used by Indonesian people, especially rural communities. The rural community in Bah Sorma is one of the villages that uses M. micrantha plants. Vegetation analysis was carried out by making 7 observation sketches for the seedling level and an observation radius of 400 m. The results of the vegetation analysis of M. micrantha showed that there were differences in each plot, namely plot 1 had an INP value of 38.51 individuals, plot 2 had an INP value of 25.18 individuals, plot 3 had an INP value of 26.66 individuals, plot 4 had an INP value of 13.33 individuals , plot 5 has an INP growth rate of 42.96 individuals, plot 6 has an INP value of 35.55 individuals and plot 7 has an INP value of 17.77 individuals. The distribution pattern of M. micrantha shows that M. micrantha plants are scattered in clusters in Bah Sorma Village. The results of the use of the M. micrantha plant show that M. micrantha is a traditional medicine in curing diseases in Bah Sorma Village, Siantar Sitalasari District
