    Abstract
    This research deals with the use of mobile phone in English teaching and learning process at SMK PAB 2 HELVETIA. The objective of this research is to find out students’ perceptions about the use of Mobile Phone in English teaching and learning process and to describe how do students use mobile phone in English teaching and learning process. The research was descriptive qualitative research. The data collected by interviewing 20 students by using interview that consist five question. The findings that students had different perceptions, namely: mobile phone is very helpful in English teaching and learning process, mobile phone is important in English teaching and learning process and mobile phone has advantages and disadvantages. In English teaching and learning process, students take advantage of their mobile phone by using several applications, including: Cudu, Google Translate, WhatsApp, Google Classroom, Gmail, etc. The students’ perception about the use of Mobile Phone in English teaching and learning process to improve their speaking is quiet useful for them so that learning is carried out effectively and efficiently. The Mobile Assisted Language Learning in teaching students implement in English teaching and learning process is aimed to shed light on the students’ experiences in applying mobile technologies to enhance speaking.
