Despite mathematical leadership models related to the role of leaders in real team performance enjoying success and attention as exceptional leadership models, few scholars have investigated a specific link between mathematical leadership models and their application performance which furnishes with the complexity of the vari- ables that affect a leaders performance. As such, in this study, the author tries to develop a model that studies the effect of leadership on a teams performance that has entire interaction between its team members. The offered model, in this case, is the development of permanent and rotating leadership models. The leaders from both models are selected from the existing team members, but their election processes are conducted differently. In the permanent leadership model, the leader is randomly selected at the end of the first period and remains the leader until the end of the teams mission. Meanwhile, in the rotating leadership model, the leader is randomly selected at the end of the first period. Then, at the end of the following period, the election of a new leader is carried out again from members who have never been a leader, and so forth, so that each team member has led exactly once by the end of the process. In each model, the leader performs his role as a leader as well as a member of the team. The mathematical model developed in this study includes modeling to analyze the role of leadership in improving team performance. Leaders can measure the performance of every possible team composition to lead and assign roles to opti- mize time performance. The leaders ability to learn and motivation is the essential parameters in this model as an effort to improve team performance. Through sim- ulation, the impact of this parameter is measured. In this research, the developed model was applied to measure the organizational performance of Universitas Negeri Medan.en_US
