The need for nutrients in rice plants can be determined based on the available
nutrient levels in the soil. With the Geographic Information System, farmers can
easily find out about the distribution of nutrient criteria on the planted land. This
study aims to survey and map the distribution of nutrients status of Nitrogen (N),
Phosphorous (P), and Potassium (K) in paddy fields in Tualang District, Siak
Regency. This research was conducted at the Research and Technology
Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, University of North Sumatra and the
Analytical Laboratory of PT. Socfin Indonesia (SOCFINDO) from March 2023 to
May 2023. The method used is the survey method by observing the sample
directly. Sampling was carried out using Purposive Sampling technique by
combining composite samples. Soil sample analysis was carried out namely, N total using Kjeldahl method, P-available using Bray II method, and K- exchange
using NH4OAC method. Then continue mapping using QGIS 3.16 (Quantum
Geographic Information System) spatial analysis. The results of this study
indicate that the distribution of N-total has 3 nutrient mixtures, namely medium
area of 3.8 ha (11.08%), high area of 4 ha (11.66%), and very high area of 26.5
ha (77.26%). The available P distribution has very high criteria, namely 34.3 ha
(100%). The K-exchange distribution has 2 nutrient criteria, namely medium area
of 30.3 ha (88.34%) and hsigh area of 4 ha (11.66%).
