Technology is here to make life easier today and it is undeniable that advances in a technological device can create a new challenge for the wider community, especially in today's digital world. The younger generation or what is called the millennial generation and today's society with their digital abilities should not forget the importance of understanding the history of their own nation in Indonesia which is declining. This is generally due to the publication media and methods of introducing history that do not interest them and there is no interactive model which seems monotonous. Simulation technology or what is called Virtual Reality (VR) is currently growing rapidly with the increasing demand for VR devices which are widely used and applied in various purposes, especially in the field of science. So far, many tourist attractions and historical buildings have been recreated into 2D models or 360° visual video format displays. However, there are many drawbacks in terms of the visualization model and the immersive and interactive experiences that can be carried out by the user in the process of exploring the media environment. In this research, the use of Virtual Reality (VR) technology is used for digital preservation and conservation of one of the historical relics of army fighters in the past in North Sumatra, namely the Museum of Struggle for the TNI Kodam 1 Bukit Barisan located in the city of Medan. This application was built with the design of the Virtual Tour concept to provide detailed and interactive forms of information about a location and information about the TNI. The architectural model of the museum building which is reconstructed into 3D form allows exploration to be carried out outside and inside the building to provide an immersive experience to the user. The trial of the virtual reality tour application for the TNI struggle museum Kodam 1 Bukit Barisan with the gamification method was carried out on 10 random people and data collection was carried out by filling out the provided questionnaire. From the results of the questionnaire conducted, a value of 81.8% was obtained which stated that the application that was made could run very well, interesting and interactive.en_US
