    Abstract
Unstable weather conditions can affect the temperature, humidity, and soil moisture requirements needed by plants. As happened with cayenne pepper, if these needs are not met optimally it can disrupt production which can then have an impact on price movements due to a lack of supply. Therefore we need a system that can help cayenne pepper farmers to detect and control temperature, humidity, and soil moisture precisely in order to reduce the impact of weather on the growth of cayenne pepper. The system built in this study is in the form of a prototype that applies IoT (Internet of Things) technology so that farmers can carry out monitoring and control remotely through the created web-based application. This study conducted two testing processes. The first test was conducted to determine the effect of the devices that were used to control temperature, humidity, and soil moisture. Within 30 minutes of the testing process, the incandescent lamp managed to increase the temperature by 3,5°C, the intake fan managed to reduce the temperature by 0,4°C, the mist maker managed to increase the humidity by 8%, but the exhaust fan failed to carry out its function in reducing humidity by humidity conditions increased 5%. Then the water pump that was tested by running water for 60 seconds on soil with a height of 9 cm and a diameter of 12 cm succeeded in increasing soil moisture by 19%. In the second test, it was found that the effect of automatic control on the length of one of the leaf veins of the cayenne pepper plant in the 7 days of the testing process gave the maximum growth results of 1,25mm which occurred on the first day with an average temperature produced of 29,80°C, humidity of 81%, and soil moisture of 82%.
