dc.description.abstract | Along with the increasing rapid development of technology and increasing broad
market developments, the advancement in technology require all transactions also
develop, such as conducting online activities. This causes people need courier
services as a medium for delivering products to consumers. Jobs as couriers require
them to carry out physical and mental activities such as driving, controlling
vehicles, carrying products, looking for addresses, communicating with buyers, and
also operating the delivery application. The courier work can cause problems for
them such as a decline in physical condition or tiredness, Increasing their risk of
an accident. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of workload and
work stress on the work fatigue of expedition couriers in Banda Aceh in 2023. This
research was a quantitative cross-sectional design with a sample of 75 couriers and
carried out statistical tests with multiple logistic regression tests. The results of
this study are there is an influence between physical workload and courier work
fatigue (p-value = 0.004) and there is an effect of mental workload on courier
workload (p-value = 0.002), but there is no effect of work stress on work fatigue (p value = 0,300). Researchers suggest that for shipping companies the results of this
research can be used as input in determining policies for the welfare of couriers
such as giving extra time for couriers to complete deliveries when packages are
overloaded, and couriers are expected to be able to use their rest time as well as
possible, consume healthy food, and also adopt a healthy lifestyle such as stretching
after work. | en_US |
