dc.description.abstract | MPTS (Multy Purpose Tree Species) plants have an important role in terms of ecology and economy. One type of MPTS is petai (Parkia speciosa) which has become a type of choice in agroforestry systems because it has a light crown so that it can still be used for intercropping patterns with other species. Important factors that can affect the growth of petai seedlings include water availability and ecoenzymes. Evaluation of the effect of these two factors was tested with the use of liquid ecoenzyme fertiliser and watering intervals on the growth of petai (Parkia speciosa) seedlings. This research was conducted in a greenhouse at PT Agincourt Resources, Batang Toru, South Tapanuli from February to June 2023. Using Factorial Completely Randomised Design with 2 factors, the use of ecoenzyme (0 ml, 10 ml, 20 ml and 30 ml) and watering interval (once a day, once every 2 days, once every 3 days, once every 4 days) obtained 16 treatments with 3 replications. The results showed that the interaction of ecoenzyme treatment and watering interval showed a significant effect on height, diameter, upper wet weight, lower wet weight and lower dry weight. The treatment of E3 (30 ml ecoenzyme) and watering interval once a day showed the best results on each growth parameter of petai (P. speciosa) seedlings. | en_US |
