Peran One Person Librarian dalam Mengelola Perpustakaan Kantor Perwakilan Bank Indonesia Provinsi Sumatera Utara

Abstract

This paper discusses about the role of One-Person Librarian in the Library of Bank Indonesia Representative Office in North Sumatera Province (KPW BI North Sumatera Province). The research aims to find out the role of One-Person Librarian in managing the Special Library in KPw Bf North Sumatera Province library: Data are collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The research results indicated that the role of One-Person Librarian of KPW BI North Sumatera Province Library in managing the library includes collection development, collection processing. user service, collection maintenance. promotion, and library evaluation. The role of One-Person Librarian in managing the library can be seen from the service provided to the users of this special library. In addition, the role of One-Person Librarian in KPW BI North Sumatera Province library is as facilitator and contributor in accomplishing award and achievement as the best Special Library at the levels of city, province, or institution by relying on the time management of One-Person Librarian.
