Respons Pertumbuhan dan Produksi Sorgum (Sorghum bicolor (L.) Moench) terhadap Pemberian Mulsa Plastik dan ZPT Alami Ekstrak Daun Kelor

Abstract

The aims of the research was to identify the response of growth and production of sorghum (Sorghum bicolor (L.) Moench) to the application of mulch and natural ZPT moringa leaf extract. This research was conducted at Jalan Bunga Terompet, Medan Selayang District, Medan, in Januari-Mei 2023. using a split plot design (RPT) with two treatment factors with three replications. The main plot is the application of mulch with two treatments without mulch (M0); plastic mulch (M1) and sub plots concentrations of zpt moringa leaf extract with four treatments control (E0); concentration 50 ml/L (E1); 75 ml/L (E2); 100 ml/L (E3). Parameters measured were plant height, stem diameter, fresh weight of stover, dry weight of stover, seed weight per sampel, seed weight per plot, weight of 1000 seed, panicle weight and weed biomass. The result showed that the mulching treatment and interaction between the two treatments had no significant effect on all parameters. The treatment of zpt concentration of moringa leaf extract had a significant effect on all parameters.
