dc.description.abstract | The writing of this final project is carried out at the Library of Prima Indonesia University (UNPRI) in Medan. The newly inaugurated UNPRI Library currently has problems with manpower shortage. For example, several placements or qualifications are not in accordance with the expertise of employees who are lacking technological expertise. In addition, there is no reward policy. Therefore, UNPRI Library management needs to identify the problems and take the necessary actions, such as increasing human resources by having an effective recruitment and selection and qualifying employees according to the areas of expertise required by the college library, reviewing policies in performance appraisal to improve employee's motivation, carrying out developments by attending training courses of higher education technical guidance such as in the sector of technology. The objective of this paper is to assess the Human Resource Management performance at the UNPRI Library. This writing employs data collection methods, namely observation, interviews, and literature study. The results of this paper demonstrate the performance of Human Resource Management at the UNPRI Library in terms of planning, organizing, controlling, and purchasing management functions, which include integration, discipline, recruitment, development, compensation, and termination of employment, on resource management. Human resources (HR) at the UNPRI Library plays an important role in supporting the operational effectiveness and efficiency of the library. | en_US |
