| dc.description.abstract | The term community empowerment program can be interpreted as an effort to meet
the needs desired by individuals, groups and the wider community so that they
have the ability to make choices and control their environment in order to fulfill
their desires, including their accessibility to resources related to their work,
social activities and so on., one of these empowerment programs is the Pangariga
program, the Pangariga program is an empowerment program organized by the
North Tapanuli regional government in Hutapea Banuarea Village. This program
aims to increase the independence of the weaving craftsmen community, and
improve the quality of their woven crafts which in this context are expected to have
an impact on the welfare of the weaving craftsmen in Hutapea Banuarea Village.
This study aims to find out how the Pangariga program is one of the community
empowerment programs. impact on the welfare of weaving craftsmen in the village
of Hutapea Banuarea. This research uses qualitative research methods, using a
descriptive approach the researcher chooses descriptive qualitative research
because with this method researchers can know and understand phenomena (need
to know) which function to describe facts, prove, describe and find knowledge
related to an object being studied. In this study, researchers went directly to the
field to be able to see directly to find out the impact of the Pangariga program on
the welfare of weaving craftsmen in Hutapea Banuarea Village, through a series of
