Program Literasi Informasi Masyarakat pada Dinas Perpustakaan dan Arsip Daerah Tapanuli Utara

Abstract

This final paper is conducted at North Tapanuli Library and Archives Office and aims at finding out about the community information literacy program at North Tapanuli Library and Archives Office. This writing employs data collection methods, namely literature study, interviews and observation. The results indicate that community information literacy at North Tapanuli Library and Archives Office consists of 4 programs, namely: mobile library, reading movement socialization, e- library application and reading house. Mobile library is part of the library service and also one of the community information programs held by North Tapanuli Library and Archives Office. Reading movement socialization is an activity carried out to stimulate reading interest of North Tapanuli community. E-library application is a digital library that provides access to read books for its members and to view the latest news using Android and Windows devices. Reading house was created by literacy activists through collaboration with North Tapanuli Library and Archives Office to build the community reading interest. Based on the observations carried out, the program of community information literacy has run well at Regional Library and Archives of North Tapanuli.
