Pengaruh Iradiasi Sinar Gamma terhadap Morfologi Beberapa Varietas Kacang Tanah (Arachis hypogaea L.)
Abstract
This study aims to determine the effect of gamma irradiation on the morphology of
peanut plants. This research was conducted on Jalan Harmonika Baru Pasar 2 Setia
Budi, Medan Selayang District, Medan, from January to April 2023. This study used
a randomized block design (RAK) method with two treatment factors. The first factor
is the dose of gamma irradiation (R): R0 (0 Gy), R100 (100 Gy), R200 (200 Gy), and the
second factor is the variety (V): V1 (Kancil), V2 (Takar-2). The observed variables
were germination percentage, flowering age, harvesting age, plant height, number of
leaves, number of pods planted, number of seeds per pod, and weight of 100 peanut
seeds. The results of the research showed that gamma rays had a significant effect on
increasing plant height, number of leaves, flowering age, harvest age and weight of
100 seeds and the best average was given a dose of 100 Gy. The variety treatment
had a significant effect on the germination percentage, plant height at 4-6 WAP,
number of leaves and weight of 100 seeds and the mouse deer variety was superior to
the takar-2 variety. The interaction between variety treatment and gamma irradiation
dose did not have a significant effect on all observed parameters
