Karakteristik Kesuburan Tanah dan Penentuan Rekomendasi Pemupukan N, P dan K Lahan Sawah di Kecamatan Gunung Meriah Kabupaten Deli Serdang Provinsi Sumatera Utara

Abstract

This research aims to (1) determine the characteristics of soil fertility in rice fields in Gunung Meriah District and (2) to determine location-specific fertilizer recommendations for rice fields in Gunung Meriah District. The method used in this research is a free grid survey method carried out in the field and followed by sample analysis in the laboratory. Sampling in the field used simple random sampling techniques. Soil samples that have been taken and composited are then analyzed. Characteristics of soil fertility in the paddy fields of Gunung Meriah District include the CEC value including medium criteria with a range of 19.23 – 34.88 me/100g; C-organic content includes medium criteria with a range of 1.97 - 4.52%; N-Total organic includes medium criteria with a range of 0.27 – 0.53%. The P2O5 content includes very high criteria with a range of 271.50 – 1210.23 mg/100g; K2O content includes high criteria with a range of 6.63 – 82.83 mg/100g. In general, the fertility characteristics of paddy fields in Gunung Meriah District are included in the medium category, except for Gunung Meriah Village and Marjiwa Tongah Village which are included in the low category. Fertilization recommendations based on soil nutrient status and harvest-borne nutrients for Urea are 164.04 Kg/ha; SP-36 83.49; Generally, the KCl dose is 38.34 Kg/ha, except for the Marjiwa Tongah village and the Gunung Meriah village, respectively 189.03 Kg KCl/ha and 739.61 Kg KCl/ha. Fertilization recommendations based on Minister of Agriculture Regulation No.13 of 2022 for SP-36 are 50 Kg/ha while for KCl 50 Kg/ha except for Gunung Meriah village 100 Kg KCl/ha.
