    Abstract
Background: Soybeans are one of the cerelia plants that are quite high in contamination with pesticides. Pyrethroid pesticides made from cypermethrin and deltamethrin are pesticides that are often used by farmers. The negative impact when exceeding the maximum residual limit (BMR) is headache, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and even liver damage. Objective: This study aims to determine the results of pesticide residue levels made from active ingredients of cypermethrin and deltamethrin in soybeans tested and whether soybean samples are safe for public consumption based on the maximum residue limit set in SNI. Method : Samples are taken from one of the supermarkets in Medan City. Determination of pesticide residue levels of sipermethrin and deltamethrin was carried out at the UPT Pesticide Quality and Residue Testing Laboratory. PTPH North Sumatra Province. Sample extraction using acetone and dichloromethane solvents (1:1 v/v) in 100 ml. The extraction results are concentrated and then dissolved with isooctane and toluene (9:1 v / v) in 10 ml. The extract was then analyzed using HP-5 column gas chromatography; ECD detector; column temperature 270°C, injector temperature 290°C, detector temperature 290°C; mobile phase of nitrogen gas ( flow rate 30 ml / min) and helium (flow rate 5ml / min); and injection volume 1μl. Results: The results showed that soybeans contained cypermethrin pesticide residues with an average level of 0.312 mg/kg but deltamethrin residues were negative. Cipermethrin levels do not meet the BMR allowed according to SNI 7313: 2008 which is 0.05 mg / kg, but deltamethrin levels meet the BMR allowed according to SNI 7313: 2008 which is 0.1 mg / kg. Conclusion: The residual levels of pesticide cypermethrin in soybeans do not meet the requirements of SNI 7313:2008, but the levels of deltamethrin meet the requirements of SNI 7313:2008.
