Penerapan Kode Klasifikasi Arsip Berdasarkan Permendagri No. 83 Tahun 2022 di Dinas Perpustakaan dan Arsip Provinsi Sumatera Utara

Abstract

This study aimed to investigate the implementation of Minister of Home Affairs Regulation No. 83 Year 2022 at the North Sumatra Province Library and Archives Service. The data were collected through direct observation, interviews with related parties, literature review, and documentation. The research findings reveal that the implementation of archive classification codes based on the Minister of Home Affairs Regulations No. 83 Year 2022 is divided into 10 main issues, namely: general affairs, government affairs, political affairs, security and order affairs, welfare affairs, economic affairs, public works affairs, supervision affairs, personnel affairs, and financial affairs. The use of archive classification codes based on the Minister of Home Affairs Regulation No. 83 Year 2022 is assisted by SRIKANDI software which plays an important role in archives management such as archive creation, archive use, and archive depreciation. The implementation of classification codes based on the Minister of Home Affairs Regulations No. 83 Year 2022 provides significant benefits in archives management such as: structured organization, increased information accessibility, improved efficiency in using archive classification codes, controlled archive security and order, and consistent archive management. There are several obstacles found in this process such as limited resources and challenges in the implementation. To enhance the resources, the North Sumatra Province Library and Archives Agency is suggested to hold training for the related employees and staff.
