Keanekaragaman Makrofauna Tanah Pada Areal Tanaman Rimbang (Solanum Torvum Swartz) yang diberi Limbah Cair Pabrik Kelapa Sawit Sebagai Pupuk
Abstract
The presence of soil macrofauna at the area of rimbang plants treated with palm oil mill effluent with different application treatments (ponds 5, 6, and 7) indicates the different quality and fertility of the soil. The aim of this study was to analyze the presence of the macrofauna species and diversity. This research was conducted in May-July 2023 at the rimbang plant area around PT Kuala Mas Sawit Abadi, Labuhanbatu Selatan Regency. Determination of sampling points used Purposive Sampling Method, and soil macrofauna sampling used Quadrat and Hand Sorting Methods. The results of this study showed 24 species of soil macrofauna divided into 3 phylum, 7 classes, 14 orders, 18 families, and 22 genera. The total density of soil macrofauna at block 2 (pond application 5) was higher compare to block 3 (pond application 6), block 4 (pond application 7), and block 1 (control). The diversity index (H') of macrofauna found at the 4 (four) research blocks was categorized as moderate (1 ≤ H' < 3). The evenness index (E) of macrofauna recorded at the 4 (four) research blocks was included into the high category (E ≥ 0.6). The highest similarity index of soil macrofauna species between the research blocks was found in block 2 and block 4 which was 82.35%, and the lowest similarity index was found in block 1 and block 2 which was 58.06%.
