Keanekaragaman Makrofauna Tanah Pada Areal Perkebunan Kelapa Sawit yang tidak dan diberi Limbah Cair Pabrik Kelapa Sawit Sebagai Pupuk
Abstract
The diversity of animals is influenced by the presence of dangerous chemicals in the soil. Chemicals can cause various problems, one of which causes the extinction of soil macrofauna types. This research was conducted to determine the presence of species, the population density, the diversity index, the uniformity index and the soil macrofauna similarity index at the oil palm plantation area of PT. KMSA at Mampang Village, Kota Pinang District, South Labuhanbatu Regency, North Sumatra Province. The research was done with different application treatments some blocks were given liquid palm oil mill waste and some were not.The determination of sampling points was carried out using the Purposive Sampling method with sampling using the Hand Sorting method. The soil macrofauna obtained were 23 species totally, belongs to 2 phyla, 5 classes, 8 orders, 16 families and 23 genera. The highest population density was obtained at Block 2 with a total density value of 230.89 individuals/2 m2, while the lowest total density value was obtained at Block 1 with a density value of 164.6 individuals/2 m2. The Diversity Index (H') value of soil macrofauna obtained from the 4 research blocks was categorized as medium category. The Uniformity Index (E) value of soil macrofauna from the 4 research blocks was included in the high category. The highest Similarity Index value found at Block 1 with Block 3, which was 75% and the lowest was at Block 2 with Block 4, which was 59,25%.
