dc.description.abstract | Laboratory research aimed to examine the application of quicklime (CaO), calcium carbonate lime (CaCO3), palm empty fruit bunch biochar, and rice husk biochar to neutralize acid mine drainage and the active ferrous content of acid mine drainage. This study used a non-factorial randomized group design with doses of lime and biochar of 0.5 g, 1.0 g, and 1.5 g/50 ml of acid mine drainage, respectively, and had 3 blocks. The parameters observed were pH and active ferrous acid mine drainage. The results of this study indicate that the provision of lime and biochar ameliorants can increase the pH of acid mine drainage and the active ferrous content of acid mine drainage. Giving biochar rice husk is the most effective and efficient in terms of price and neutralizing the pH of acid mine water. | en_US |
