Keanekaragaman Tumbuhan Pakan Lebah Madu (Apis Cerana) dan Produksi Madu di Lae Pinang Desa Bintang Kecamatan Sidikalang Kabupaten Dairi

Abstract

Non-Timber Forest Products (1VTFPs) are forest products that have very diverse roles. One exarnple of NTFPs is honey. Honey bee cultivation is widely used by Indonesian people, especially rural conununities. Rural co1n111unities in Lae Pinang are oneof the villages that utilize honey NTFPs. This study ailns to identify the availability of honey bee feed plants and calculate the production yield of the honey bee cultivation. Identification of honey bee feed plants was carried out using an observation radius of 500 m and pu1posive sampling rnethod. It was observed that the diversity of each honey bee cultivation area in Lae Pinang was in the n1.o derate criteria with a diversity index value between 1 and 3. Other flowering plants were obtained as many as 38 vegetation andforagricultural plants obtained 160 individuals. Mr. Mahyaruddin Nadeak produced the highest production and harvested quantities in Septe111ber 2022 and Januar y 2023 with production yields and harvested values of 50 boxes and 20 liters respectively.
