Program Meningkatkan Gemar Membaca melalui Pemberdayaan Perpustakaan di MAN 5 Mandailing Natal

Abstract

The program "Enhancing Reading Enthusiasm Through Library Empowerment at MAN 5 Mandailing Natal" is an effort aimed at boosting interest and reading habits within the Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) 5 Mandailing Natal community. The author identifies the problem of low student interest in reading at the school and seeks solutions through the empowerment of the school library. This program involves various activities, such as expanding the book collection, providing comfortable facilities, training library staff, and conducting awareness campaigns to emphasize the importance of reading. Additionally, the program actively engages students in library activities, such as reading clubs and book discussions. Through this program, it is expected that the reading interest of MAN 5 Mandailing Natal students will significantly increase, resulting in a positive impact on their academic performance and helping them develop broader knowledge and understanding. Furthermore, the program aims to enhance the role of the library as a crucial learning center within the school.
