dc.description.abstract | A risky situation or safety critical event is a situation while driving that
poses a risk of endangering the driver himself or other road users. Motorcycle
users are one of the road user groups most vulnerable to traffic accidents. In
2018-2020, traffic accidents that occurred on the highway continued to increase.
In 2020, traffic accidents reached 232,529 cases or 1.31% of traffic accidents that
occurred on the highway. Based on the problem of traffic accidents using
motorbikes, elimination is needed to determine the risky situations that befall
motorcyclists using the Naturalistic Driving Study (NDS) approach. Naturalistic
Driving Study (NDS) is research using a situational approach that is used to look
at risky situations that befall motorcyclists. Naturalistic Driving Study (NDS) is
carried out by means of observation using camera equipment to record events
while driving on the highway. This research aims to analyze the risk situation of
motorcyclists using the Naturalistic Driving Study approach. As a result of the
analysis carried out, the total number of risk situations obtained was 157 events
based on the results of data reduction and the resulting scenarios were 29 risk
situation scenarios. which includes 8 scenarios from research references by
Aupetit (2016) and 21 scenarios from field data. There were 15 dangerous
situation scenarios obtained from the results of the dangerous situation scenario
specifications. Risk situation scenarios are divided into 3 parts, namely, with 7
scenarios categorized as low risk, 4 scenarios categorized as medium risk, and 4
scenarios categorized as high risk. | en_US |
