Soybeans are a legume that contains lots of fat, protein and carbohydrates. With its high fat content, soybeans can be used as raw material for making linoleic acid. The need for linoleic acid in Indonesia continues to increase every year, in fact, to meet the need for linoleic acid in Indonesia, it is done by importing it from various countries in the world in very large quantities. Linoleic acid (omega 6) is an unsaturated fatty acid, including one type of essential fatty acid, namely a fatty acid that cannot be made by the human body so it must be obtained from food, especially plants. The use of linoleic acid as an additional raw material in the chemical industry such as making cosmetics, dairy products, supplements, medicines and animal feed multivitamins. The pre-designed factory for making linoleic acid through the hydrolysis process is designed with a production capacity of 4,300 tons/year using soybeans as raw materials. The factory is planned to operate 330 days per year and 24 hours a day. In the pre-design of this factory, there are three main processes, namely, the pre-treatment process, the oil hydrolysis process and the product purification process. The product produced in this pre-designed factory is linoleic acid in the liquid phase. The company in this pre-design is planned to be a Limited Liability Company (PT) using a line and staff organizational structure. The number of workers in this factory is 171 people. The factory location is planned at Jl. Access Road, Medang Deras District, Batubara Regency, North Sumatra Province with a land area of 18,360 m2. The water requirements for this factory are planned to be obtained from the Padang River with a total water requirement of 15,553.84 kg/hour. The results of the analysis of the pre-design economic aspects of the linoleic acid manufacturing plant obtained are as follows:  Total Investment Capital = Rp. 413.396.821.692  Total Production Cost (per year) = Rp. 311.727.335.447  Total Sales Result (per year) = Rp. 430.981.433.397  Total Net Profit (per year) = Rp. 81.390.921.851 Profit Margin (PM) = 18,89%  Break Even Point (BEP) = 42,03%  Return on Investment (ROI) = 19,69%  Pay Out Time (POT) = 5,08 year  Return on Network (RON) = 32,81%  Internal Rate of Return (IRR) = 25,52% Based on the results of the analysis of economic aspects. So, it can be concluded that a linoleic acid factory from soybeans using a hydrolysis process with a production capacity of 4,300 tons/year is feasible to establishen_US
