Pengaruh Kombinasi Ekstrak Etanol Daun Pegagan (Centella Asiatica L.) dan Daun Sirsak (Annona Muricata L.) Terhadap Luka Sayat pada Mencit

Abstract

The study was conducted from January 2023 to May 2023 to analyze the effect of giving a combination of ethanol extracts of gotu kola leaves and soursop leaves on wound closure in animal models of mice. The study was organized using a completely randomized design (CRD) with seven treatments and four replicates. This study used a negative control (no wound) and a positive control (wounded and given betadine wound medicine). The next five treatments were mice with incised wounds and given different extracts: two groups were given 30% soursop extract and 25% gotu kola leaf extract, respectively; the next three groups were given a combination of extracts with equal concentrations of 15%, 30%, and 45%, respectively. The incision wounds were made using a sterile scalpel with a wound length of 1.5 cm and a depth of 0.2 cm. Mice were sacrificed at the end of the study and 6 micron thick tissue preparations were made with Hematoxylin-Eosin staining. The combination treatment of gotu kola and soursop leaf extracts was able to accelerate the healing of incision wounds in treatments P4 and P5 on day 12, able to increase epithelial thickness, the number of epithelial cells and the number of fibroblast cells significantly (p<0.05).
