    Abstract
Feeding of leaf bangun-bangun (Coleus amboinicus) on the growth and survival of catfish (Pangasius hypophthalmus) has been carried out at the Natural Resources and Environmental Processing Laboratory, Department of Biology, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of North Sumatra, Medan in the month of April-June 2022. The experiment used a completely randomized design (CRD) with four treatments and six replications. The treatments consisted of P0 (pellet feed + no powdered plant), P1 (pellet feed + 0.5% leaf powder), P2 (pellet feed + 1% leaf powder) and P3 (pellet feed + 1.5% wake-up leaf powder). The results showed that the highest fish survival was obtained in the P0 treatment (pellet feed + no plant leaf powder) which was 86.7%. The addition of Bangun- Bangun leaf powder with a concentration of 1.5% was able to provide a weight gain of 19.86 g and the highest specific length gain of 17.00 cm compared to other concentrations and had better feed quality as seen from the smallest feed conversion value at the P3 treatment was 2.32 g. This is because the powder of the leaves of the plant is able to provide the nutrients needed by fish, especially the content of polyphenols, saponins and essential oils contained in it to increase the growth rate of fish. The results of the analysis showed that there was a significant effect (P<0.05) on the increase in weight and length of fish. A good number of doses for the growth of the length and weight of catfish is as much as 1.5% of the powder of the leaves of the plant.
