Analisis Pencahayaan dan Dampaknya terhadap Kelelahan Visual di Lingkungan Kerja pada Daerah Loading Point Terminal Curah Cair (Tcc) Branch Belawan
Abstract
Lighting in a work environment is related to the amount and quality of light in it. The lack of quantity and quality of light impact results in visual fatigue due to the eye muscles contracting harder to see the work object. This lighting problem that affected workers occurred in one of the work environments at the Belawan Pelindo Multi Terminal (SPMT) Subholding. The research location is in the loading point area which is divided into two sides, namely the inside and outside of the fence. The problem on the fence side is that much of the light is blocked by the pipes as a result of the lamp posts and pipe racks having almost the same height, the light from the lights only points straight down and does not form a suitable angle for the lamp ornament handlebars to direct the light to the loading point area, whereas on the the outside of the fence, the light cannot reach the entire vehicle traffic area. This problem was resolved using a field observation methodology for lighting measurements which was then compared with the standards of the Republic of Indonesia Minister of Health Regulation Number 70 of 2016 and the impact was measured using subjective responses in the form of a virtual fatigue index (VFI) questionnaire. The result is that the lights in the loading point area only have an illumination of 7 lux to 18 lux for the 11 light points installed along the road for 210 meters. The impact was that 18 out of 32 workers experienced visual fatigue which was characterized by hot eyes, dizziness, and difficulty focusing their vision, resulting in workers falling or slipping. Based on these problems, a simulation was carried out using DiaLux software to analyze the existing lighting and design the lighting. The result is that the simulation of the existing lamp lighting for both fences is not up to standard with an illumination of 0.3 to 10 lux. Meanwhile, the simulation results of the lighting design for the inside and outside of the fence have met the standards of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia Number 70 of 2016 with an illumination level of 100-150 lux
