    Sintesis Nanorod Ba(Nd)XFe12O19 Menggunakan Templat dari Pati Tapioka

    Abstract
    Has conducted research synthesis of nanorod Ba (Nd)xFe12O19with variations of x = (0; 0.5; 1; and 1.5) mol % based sol-gel method using chitosan solution 1% (weight per volume) by 10% (volume per volume) as a dispersant and 0.5% starch solution (weight per volume) with a variation of (0, 5, 10 and 15)% (volume per volume) as template.As a precursor used Ba(NO3)2, Fe(NO3)3.9H2O and NdCl3.6H2O mole ratio (1: 12: x). Condensed precursor solution through a drying process at a temperature of 1000C for 48 hours to produce a xerogel. Xerogel first pulverized into powder subsequently calcined at a temperature of 10000C and held for 2 hours to obtain barium hexaferrite phase. The test sample results using X-Ray Diffractometer (XRD) indicates the phase that is formed is a phase barium hexaferrite. The test sample results using Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) was obtained morphology varies namely: hexagonal, spherical and nanorod with size varies according to the amount of starch solution used. Based on the hysteresis curve of the test results sample using Vibrating Sample Magnetometer (VSM) shows that the average magnetic properties of Ba(Nd)xFe12O19 obtained at the best use starch solution of 0.5% (wight per volome) 10% (volume per volume). The results of computational simulations using Quantum Espresso applying density functional theory shows the molecular structure of Ba2(Nd)xFe24O38 no different to theory, the magnetic values Ba2Fe24O38of 102.69 Bohr mag / cell.
     
    Telah dilakukan penelitian sintesis Nanorod Ba(Nd)xFe12O19 dengan variasi x = (0; 0,5; 1; dan 1,5) % mol berbasis metode sol-gel menggunakan larutan kitosan 1 % (weight per volume) sebanyak 10 % (volume per volume) sebagai dispersant dan larutan tapioka 0.5% (weight per volume) dengan variasi (0, 5, 10 dan 15) % (volume per volume) sebagai templat. Sebagai prekursor digunakan Ba(NO3)2, Fe(NO3)3.9H2O dan NdCl3.6H2O dengan perbandingan mol (1:12:x). Larutan perkursor dikondensasi melalui proses pengeringan pada temperatur 1000C selama 48 jam untuk menghasilkan xerogel. Xerogel dihaluskan terlebih dahulu menjadi serbuk selanjutnya dikalsinasi pada temperatur 10000C dan ditahan selama 2 jam untuk mendapatkan fasa barium heksaferit. Hasil uji sampel menggunakan X-Ray Diffractometer (XRD) menunjukkan fasa yang terbentuk adalah fasa barium heksaferit. Hasil uji sampel menggunakan Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) diperoleh morfologi bervariasi yakni : heksagonal, bulat dan nanorod dengan ukuran bervariasi sesuai dengan jumlah larutan tapioka yang digunakan. Berdasarkan kurva histerisis hasil uji sampel menggunakan Vibrating Sample Magnetometer (VSM) menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata sifat magnet Ba(Nd)xFe12O19 terbaik diperoleh pada penggunaan larutan tapioka 0.5% (wight per volome) sebanyak 10% (volume per volume). Hasil simulasi komputasi menggunakan Quantum Espresso menerapkan teori kerapatan fungsional menunjukkan struktur molekul Ba2(Nd)xFe24O38 tidak berbeda dengan teori, nilai magnetik Ba2Fe24O38 sebesar 102,69 Bohr mag/cell.
